Refund & Returns Policy
Updated 27 September 2025
At Tasman Audiology, we are committed to providing high-quality Audiology services and products, and we value the trust you place in us. Our goal is to work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for your hearing health. Below is an outline of our refund and return policy, designed to be clear, fair, and in line with Australian Consumer Law.
Audiology Appointments
We understand that some individuals may have additional needs that can make hearing assessments more challenging. While we strive to obtain comprehensive test results during each appointment, there are instances where this may not be possible.
In such cases:
-
We do not offer refunds for appointments where full test results are not obtained.
-
Discounted Follow-Up Appointments: If full results are not achieved, we often provide a discount for a follow-up appointment to continue our assessment. This approach reflects our respect for your time and our expertise in accommodating diverse needs and is at clinician discretion.
Please note that these situations are rare, and we are committed to being inclusive and supportive of all individuals.
Hearing Aid Purchases
We want you to be satisfied with your hearing aid purchase. Our policy includes:
-
30-Day Return Period: You may return your hearing aids within 30 days of the initial fitting for a full refund of the purchase price, minus a small fee to cover the time spent fitting the devices.
-
Manufacturer Warranties: Hearing aids typically come with a 3-year warranty, covering defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is provided by the manufacturer and is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) if a product or service you purchased:
-
Has a problem that would stop a reasonable person from buying it.
-
Is unsafe.
-
Is significantly different from a sample or description.
-
Doesn’t do what was promised and can’t be easily fixed.
If you believe your rights have been breached, you can seek assistance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or your local state or territory consumer protection agency.
Working Together
We believe in a collaborative approach to your hearing health. If you have any concerns or questions about our services or products, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are here to listen and work with you to find the best solutions.
